Admission and music are free to all. Food and (for those of age) beer will be available for purchase at the Arlington Reservoir, 310 Lowell St., Arlington Heights.

"Grab your lawn chair and your dancing flip flops and come on down to 'The Res' for some free fun performances the entire family can enjoy," said Joe Connelly, the town's parks and recreation director, to YourArlington recently.

"Arlington Recreation will again be working with Arlington Brewing Co. and local food vendors to provide concertgoers with the option for food and beverages during concert nights!"

Concerts are scheduled for every other Thursday night, with Friday nights being the rain date in each case, Connelly said. Gates open at 6 p.m., music starts at 6:30 and beer sales end at 8:30, unless otherwise specified.

No swimming will be allowed.

Donations will be accepted at the door, Connelly said; all such proceeds will go to support the summer concert series. Dates and performers are as follows:

    • June 27:  Coffee to Cocktails
    • July 11:  Classic Groove
    • July 25:  Sure, Why Not?
    • Aug. 8:   Coffee to Cocktails
    • Aug. 22: Ben Rudnick
