Help Food Link tailor deliveries to those in need

Pay for heat or groceries? What about rent? Or gas to drive to work? For low-income individuals, food insecurity often comes with difficult choices. Donors like you can help them make one that is easier: What types of food do they want to receive? Read the following plea from Food Link:

The Arlington nonprofit, based at Summer Street, conducts site visits to listen, learn and adapt to the ever-evolving needs of our partner agencies. Your support allows us to spend the time to get to know each of our 90 partner agencies on an individual basis. From rescuing cake for someone’s birthday to sharing spices with someone who loves to cook, cultivating these relationships helps us tailor our deliveries to individuals’ needs.

Help make customized deliveries possible >>

Help Food Link packOur staff recently visited a group home for adults who were formerly homeless. We learned that the residents wanted more meat, dairy and eggs. Taking this feedback to heart, we started packing boxes that included more of these nutrient-dense foods.

Food Link’s deliveries are not just about helping people have enough to eat. They’re also about ensuring they enjoy what they receive.

Will you make a gift today to support customized deliveries to feed people facing food insecurity? Donors like you help our staff invest time in personal touches like site visits, phone calls, and surveys for our recipient agencies.

A group of generous sponsors are matching all gifts, up to $100,000, through 12/31. Don’t miss out on your chance to double your impact.
